Why combine omega-3 with vitamin D3?

Many UK adults are low in vitamin D from October to March; NHS guidance is a 10 µg daily supplement in that window. Rise & Shine bundles 25 µg (1,000 IU) of D3 with a daily omega-3 dose, so one product covers both.

What's the source of the vitamin D3?

Bare Biology uses an algal (plant-origin) cholecalciferol here, rather than the lanolin (sheep's wool) source used in most D3 supplements. The omega-3 itself comes from wild fish oil, so the product as a whole is not vegan or vegetarian.

Is 1,000 IU of vitamin D a safe daily amount?

1,000 IU (25 µg) is within NHS guidance — the upper limit for adults is 100 µg (4,000 IU) a day from all sources. If you take a separate vitamin D or a multivitamin, check your combined total before adding this.

What's the omega-3 dose?

Two capsules give 1,600 mg total omega-3 — 1,035 mg EPA and 470 mg DHA, an EPA-weighted ratio. A pack is a 30-day supply at two capsules a day.
