Why is Opti-Turmeric described as more absorbable?

It uses NovaSOL curcumin, a water-soluble micellar form. Curcumin from ordinary turmeric powder is poorly absorbed; Healthspan cites the micellar form as many times better absorbed.

What format is it?

A capsule containing the liquid micellar curcumin, with added vitamin C. It is part of Healthspan's official All Blacks range.

Is it the same as turmeric powder from the spice aisle?

No. The point of NovaSOL is to overcome curcumin's normally poor absorption, so it is formulated quite differently from culinary turmeric.

Is it certified for tested sport?

Yes. It carries Informed Sport certification, so every batch is independently screened against the WADA banned-substances list.
