What makes the texture different?

Healthspan uses natural pectin. This gives a lighter, more runny gel than thick syrupy ones. So it is easier to take on the move. You do not need water to wash it down.

What is the carb blend?

It is a 2:1 maltodextrin-to-fructose blend. The two carb sources are taken in by different paths. It has added salts, including sodium and potassium.

Is the All Blacks gel different from the standard Healthspan Energy Gel?

It is the All Blacks-branded edition of the Elite energy gel. The formula looks the same. It has the partnership branding, not a new recipe.

Is it certified for tested sport?

Yes. It carries Informed Sport certification. So each batch is screened for items on the WADA banned list.
